Abstraction and fantasy converge in this entertaining eight-artist show. Daniel Wiener's small sculpture look like an extraterrestrial plant-animal hybrid; Peter Soriano's funky, yellow sculpture suggests a futuristic device made of Play-Doh; David Dupuis draws a neat, quirky mindscapes; Giles Lyon and Alexander Ross both paint, and Gail Fitzgerald sculptures what might be realms of the microbiology; Gary Stephan's process-based painting hints at some elemetnal narrative; and Kim Kever photographs sublime visions in a fish tank (Johnson). |
